This ALIEN Day Celebration began weeks before April 26th with sketches for a potential 40th anniversary logo for the ALIENS movie.

Our passion for design runs equal to our love for great Hollywood stories.

Sketches below explored a potential connection between the art of Hans Ruedi Giger and the ALIENS Xenomorph. The idea was simple, honor the franchise by sculpting text in the style of one of its inspirations.

We animated the logo to demonstrate how the concept came to be. We had seen the Xenomorph used for graphics in our research but we felt we could design it in a way that integrated the head and tail in a better way.

The logo with application instructions was published nicely in a mini style guide. A perfect way to wrap up a perfect project. This ALIEN Day was fantastic and we are honored to have been part of it.
